About Us

A little about us....

I am a mother of 2 girls, aged 8 and 5. I am currently working towards my teaching degree.  I have a university degree in International Development and have worked with children in a variety of settings from Sunday school, volunteering in the Catholic, CBE and Charter Schools and working with children in developing countries.

I grew up in the rural area of Manitoba on a large acreage, and spent most of my days as child using my imagination while playing outside.  I think kids need the freedom to explore and use their imagination in a safe environment. That is the essence of being a kid and what I strive to provide.

I moved to Calgary 10 years ago after meeting my husband at the Calgary Stampede. We reside in Lake Bonavista, very close to the corner of Anderson and Acadia.  Which is great access to anyone living in the SE as Anderson is an easy exit off Deerfoot.  We are also close to Anderson train station, Willow Park, Parkland, Acadia, Deer Ridge and Canyon Meadows.

We live in a 4 level split so each child will have their own sleeping area if needed.  We have a dedicated level just for the children's playroom.  There are large bright windows for lots of natural light.  We have a large variety of toys and learning activities, which we recycle from month to month with toys we put away in our storage!  Older children have the opportunity to work on tracing letters, working with simple math, flash cards and other activities to engage their creative mind.  We usually do a craft every day, and 1 large project a month.  Some past crafts include solar systems, dinosaur villages, aquariums, and puppets to name a few!

I will do pick up an drop off at schools or preschool in our area or neighboring communities as long as it doesn't conflict too much with my daughters school bell times. Please inquire if you need school transport as I do transport to a school already.

Both my husband and myself have our criminal record checks and vulnerable sector checks, and we are both certified in CPR and first aid.  We are pet free and smoke free.

We operate from 7:15am until 5pm, and we are closed for all statutory holidays.  (if care is needed earlier it can be discussed) We do take 2 weeks of vacation during the year.  We will provide adequate notice for holidays that we have planned.
